We do not have an obituary for Louise, but we can tell you that Louise was swept off her feet by Joseph. Joseph, being a Civil War Veteran, mustered out of service April 1865, returned to Germany and married Louise on November 29, 1865  in Vinsebeck, Hoxter, Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany. Louise gladly accompanied Joseph back to his farm east of Sollitt. Here their happy union was blessed with seven children, one of whom, “Rosine,” died at the tender young age of 2 years.

Many happy years were had with her loving and devoted husband and children, and Louise was called away all too soon from her loving family.

Louise’s burial was only the fourth in the mausoleum, following Anna Hack, Matilda Westphal and Carl Beseke.

Louise’s family members also resting in the mausoleum are:
Husband: Joseph Cloidt
Daughter: Elizabeth Cloidt
